Just wanted to share because I've been without my truck for what felt like forever and it's such a good feeling to have it back on the road. My 2012 Ford F150 started making this awful whining sound about a month ago, kind of like a supercharger but not in a cool way, more in an expensive way. Took it to a shop in Industrial Area that a colleague recommended and they were straight up with me from day one, said it needs a full rebuild and gave me a detailed breakdown of what they'd find once they opened it up. I'll admit I was pretty anxious leaving it there, you hear horror stories about workshops taking forever or finding extra problems, but they actually called me every few days with updates and photos of the progress. While I was waiting and stressing I spent way too much time reading about Gearbox Repair Sharjah options and trying to educate myself on what a proper rebuild should include. Ended up costing about what they estimated initially which never happens right? Drove it home yesterday and it's shifting smoother than it has in years, no noise, no hesitation, feels like a different truck. Just wanted to put it out there that there are still decent workshops around if you find the right one. Now hopefully I don't have to think about transmissions again for another 200,000km.
