I had already yanked it out and made a mess with the terminals thinking I needed to hand the core back loose, and this guy just laughs and tells me they would've done the swap, tested the alternator, the whole thing, right there in my building parking. Battery itself has been perfect so far, cranks instantly even after the car sits for a week, so no complaints on the product, just wish someone at checkout had made it a bit more obvious because I'm not exactly a mechanic and I almost stripped a bolt trying to tighten everything back down myself.
