How U4GM Finds the Kitayama Big Daisugi in FH6 (4 อ่าน)

30 มิ.ย. 2569 15:40

If the Kitayama Big Daisugi challenge has you driving in circles, you're not the only one. A lot of players expect a big obvious landmark, then realise the game barely points you anywhere useful. The good news is that this one's much easier once you line it up with Ito Airfield, and if you've already been grinding exploration or saving up FH6 Credits for faster unlocks, it's a handy stop that gives you quick progress without much effort.

Where to Find the Cedar Cluster

The trees sit in the northern section of Ito, over on the eastern side of the map where the coastline bends inward. The simplest way to get your bearings is to use Ito Airfield as your starting point. From there, head northeast and watch for a dirt track cutting through the woods. That trail is the key. It doesn't look like much on the map, and that's why so many people miss it the first time. Stay on the unpaved route instead of drifting back onto the main roads, and you'll eventually come across a cedar formation that looks different from everything around it. These aren't normal trees. The Daisugi shape stands out because straight trunks rise upward from the wider base, almost like several trees growing from one parent. Once you're close enough, the map stamp for Kitayama Big Daisugi should confirm you've found the right place.

How to Get the Photo Done Quickly

You don't need a fancy angle, and you don't need to waste time trying to line up the perfect screenshot. Just pull over near the grove, open Photo Mode, and make sure the tall cedar cluster is clearly visible in the frame. That's really it. Your car can be in the shot, but it doesn't have to be. Plenty of players overthink this part and start repositioning for ages when the challenge only cares that the landmark shows up in the image. On controller, hit up on the D-pad to open the camera. On keyboard, press P. Then take the shot and the game should register the location under Discover Japan straight away. You'll get 100 points, which doesn't sound huge at first, but these photo spots add up faster than people expect when you're trying to push your exploration rank.

Why This Location Matters More Than It Looks

This isn't just another tick-box photo stop. Discover Japan is tied to a lot of useful progression, and the landmark pictures are one of the least annoying ways to move it along. Story content and side activities can pay out more depending on what you're doing, sure, but those usually take longer and sometimes drag you across half the map. A quick landmark photo is simple. Drive there, snap it, leave. If you've hit that awkward point where your rank progress feels slow, this is the kind of objective worth picking off. It also helps that the Ito forest area is one of the better-looking places to drive through, especially if you're using something with decent off-road grip instead of trying to bully a low road car over the dirt. An SUV, rally build, or anything planted on rough ground makes the trip much less irritating.

The Barn Find Just South of the Trees

There's another reason people come here, and it's a good one. Just south of the Kitayama Big Daisugi marker, a smaller gravel path branches away from the main trail and leads to a barn. Inside is the 1983 Nissan #11 Tomica Skyline Turbo Super Silhouette, which is one of the cooler finds in the game. There is a catch, though. If you arrive too early, the barn won't give you anything. The rumor only appears once you've reached Master Explorer in Discover Japan. So if the place looks dead, you haven't done anything wrong. You just need more exploration progress before the game allows that car to spawn. After the rumor becomes active and you discover the barn properly, you can wait for the restoration timer or pay to get the car sooner, depending on how patient you're feeling.

Final Thoughts

The fastest way to wrap this up is still the same: fast travel to Ito Airfield, head northeast, stick to the dirt path, and keep an eye out for that unusual cedar silhouette rising above the rest of the woods. It's a short detour, the photo challenge is easy once you know the route, and the nearby barn makes the area even more worth checking. If you're planning to clear more exploration goals after this one, or you'd rather speed through the grind with a bit of help from FH6 Boosting while working toward Master Explorer, this stop fits neatly into a bigger Ito region run and saves you from coming back later.
