I run a small shop in London with big front windows, and I'm starting to notice my display items are fading. Some of my products have been in the window for less than a month and already look faded. I'm worried about my stock and also my own health sitting near the glass all day. Is there anything I can do?

The exact same thing happened in my Edinburgh flat. My living room got hammered by afternoon sun, and within a year my oak flooring had faded patches and my favourite armchair looked like a shadow of its former self. I tried moving things around, closing curtains, even rearranging the room – but the sun always found a way to damage something. Then a friend who works in a museum mentioned they use special film to protect priceless artefacts, and I realised I could do the same. I ended up on https://www.tintfit.com/shop/uv-protection and discovered a film that blocks over 99% of harmful UV rays while being practically invisible. Installation was a doddle – soapy water, a squeegee, twenty minutes and done. Now my flat still floods with beautiful light, but the fading has stopped completely. The room feels cooler too, which is a nice bonus. For a shop, this is an absolute no-brainer – it'll protect your stock, your furniture, and most importantly, your health.
