My car AC has been acting strange lately. It still feels cold when I put my hand near the vent, but the airflow is really weak, especially on the passenger side. I have to turn the fan to maximum just to feel a breeze. Someone mentioned it might be a clogged filter or something blocking the system. I found a guide that goes into detail about fixing weak cabin cooling issues and it mentioned that a dirty cabin air filter is often the culprit, but it can also be problems with the blower motor or even ice forming on the evaporator. In this heat, weak airflow is almost as bad as no AC. Before I take it to a shop, has anyone here successfully fixed weak airflow themselves? Is changing the cabin filter something a beginner can handle?
