Okay so I know this is probably a dumb question but I'm gonna ask anyway because I'm trying to save some money if possible. My AC is still blowing cold but it's definitely not as icy as it used to be, takes longer to cool the car down and I'm guessing it's just a bit low on gas. I keep seeing those little recharge cans with the pressure gauge at the petrol stations and I'm wondering if anyone here has actually used one successfully or if it's just a waste of money. My friend told me they can mess up your system if you overfill it or if there's air in the lines but honestly I'm tempted to try because workshops charge like 150 just for a regas. I was looking at one of the dedicated AC service pages online like Car AC Repair Sharjah based places and they obviously recommend a proper vacuum and refill but that's like triple the cost of a can. Has anyone gone the DIY route and regretted it or is it fine for a minor top up? Just trying to get through the next few months without spending a fortune.
