Last year, our company invested heavily in Salesforce. Six months after launch, sales reps were still managing opportunities in spreadsheets, reports were inconsistent, and leadership had little confidence in the data.
The original implementation focused on features, not how our teams actually worked.
We brought in a new Salesforce development partner to review the system. Instead of rebuilding everything, they interviewed users, simplified processes, removed unused automations, and fixed data quality issues.
Within a few months, adoption improved, reporting became reliable, and our sales managers finally had visibility into the pipeline.
The experience taught me that Salesforce success depends less on the platform itself and more on choosing development partners who understand business processes, not just technical requirements.
